Tony Banks
Tony Banks, né le 27 mars 1950, est un claviériste et compositeur de formation classique qui est surtout connu comme étant un des membres fondateurs (beaucoup diront la force musicale directrice derrière) de Genesis, un des groupes anglais les plus célèbres de rock progressif/pop. Il est le seul membre avec le guitariste/bassiste Mike Rutherford à appartenir à Genesis pendant ses quarante deux années d'existence.

Tony Banks
Tony Banks (ur. 27 marca 1950, East Hoathly) – brytyjski kompozytor i klawiszowiec rockowy znany z występów z grupą Genesis.
Był głównym twórcą brzmienia i jednym z liderów tej progresywno-rockowej grupy. Jego gra cechowała się wielowarstwowym, symfonicznym brzmieniem, dużą melodyjnością i zastosowaniem niebanalnych schematów harmonicznych. W późniejszym okresie swojej solowej kariery uciekał się także do muzyki popowej, jednak nie przyniosło mu to popularności. Używał wielu klasycznych dziś już instrumentów, które tworzyły charakterystyczne dla muzyki grupy Genesis brzmienie. Były to syntezatory m.in. Moog, ARP, Roland, organy Hammonda, Mellotron. Jego ostatni album - Seven - to powrót do pierwotnych inspiracji muzyką klasyczną.
