Time Lords

The Time Lords are a fictional alien race portrayed in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, of which that series' main character, the Doctor, is a member. Time Lords are so called because they are able to travel in and manipulate time through technology to a far greater degree than any other civilization. They are a race of humanoids originating on the planet Gallifrey. Female Time Lords, such as Romana, are sometimes called Time Ladies, particularly in the tie-in fiction related to the programme.
