Theodoric I

Theodoric I (; ; died in 451) sometimes called Theodorid and in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian Teodorico, was the King of the Visigoths from 418 to 451. An illegitimate son of Alaric, Theodoric is famous for defeating Attila at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains in 451, where he was mortally wounded.

Theoderik I (visigot)
Theoderik I var kung över visigoterna 419–451. Han var utomäktenskaplig son till Alarik I och efterträdde Wallia som kung 419. Theoderik stupade i slaget vid Katalauniska fälten 451 och efterträddes av sin son Thorismund.

Teoderyk I (król Wizygotów)
Teodoryk I, Teoderyk I (zm. 20 czerwca 451), król Wizygotów od 419 (lub końca 418).

Był nieślubnym synem króla Alaryka (zm. 410). Wstąpił na tron po śmierci Walii; rezydował głównie w Tolozie (obecnie Tuluza), rozszerzając państwo wizygockie na część dzisiejszej Hiszpanii. Uczestniczył w wyprawach wojskowych cesarstwa zachodniorzymskiego, m.in. w bitwie na Polach Katalaunijskich (obecnie Francja) w czerwcu 451, gdzie wojska Rzymian i Wizygotów zmierzyły się z Hunami pod wodzą Attyli. W bitwie tej Teodoryk poległ. Jego następcą został syn Toryzmund; na tronie wizygockim zasiadali później jeszcze dwaj synowie Teodoryka - Teodoryk II i Euryk.
