The Twilight Zone

The Twilight Zone is a television anthology series created (and often written) by its narrator and host Rod Serling. Each episode (156 in the original series) is a self-contained fantasy, science fiction, or horror/terror story, often concluding with an eerie or unexpected twist. Although advertised as science fiction, the show rarely offered scientific explanations for its fantastic happenings and often, if not always, had a moral lesson that pertained to everyday life. The program followed in the tradition of earlier well written radio programs such as The Weird Circle and X Minus One. A popular and critical success, it introduced many Americans to serious science fiction and abstract ideas through television and also through a wide variety of Twilight Zone literature.

Strefa mroku, (ang. The Twilight Zone), amerykański fantastyczny serial telewizyjny, autorstwa Roda Serlinga. Pierwszą serię wyemitowano w latach 1959-1964 w telewizji CBS, następnie, w latach 1985-1989 i 2002-2003, powstały seria druga i trzecia.Serial cieszył się w USA dużą popularnością i na trwałe wpisał się w historię amerykańskiej kultury masowej. Słynna jest zwłaszcza ścieżka dźwiękowa.Powstało wiele produkcji, wzorowanych na Strefie mroku: komiks, cykl słuchowisk radiowych (ze Stacy Keachem w roli narratora), sztuki teatralne, gra na flippery oraz film fabularny w reżyserii Stevena Spielberga.

Ai confini della realtà (The Twilight Zone) è una serie televisiva di genere fantascientifico trasmessa in tre diversi periodi dalla televisione americana. La serie classica, creata da Rod Serling e che vide tra gli sceneggiatori Richard Matheson e Ray Bradbury andò in onda dal 1959 al 1964, la seconda serie fu trasmessa dal 1985 al 1989, e l'ultima è andata in onda tra il 2002 e il 2003.
