The Family (, aussi connue sous les noms : The Fellowship, The Fellowship Foundation et The International Foundation) est un groupe intégriste chrétien fondé à Seattle (États-Unis) en 1935 par Abraham Vereide, un immigrant norvégien, prêcheur méthodiste et anti-communiste itinérant. Bien que n'ayant pas d'adhésion officielle, le groupe, dirigé depuis 1966 par Douglas Coe, compte  membres, dirigés par 350 cadres. Ses membres comptent aussi bien des gens des classes populaires que des représentants importants du Congrès américain. « La Famille » est connue en particulier pour son National Prayer Breakfast , organisé annuellement et auquel le Président des États-Unis se rend habituellement pour un discours. Ce groupe a aussi des liens internationaux.

Rodzina (obecna nazwa: The Family International) - nowy ruch religijny założony przez pastora Davida Berga (1919 -1994) w latach 60. na zachodnim wybrzeżu USA. W Polsce działa pod nazwą: Wspólnota Niezależnych Zgromadzeń Misyjnych „Rodzina”.W latach 60. w USA nastał wśród młodzieży klimat krytyki wobec obecnych form religijności i religii jako takiej. Spora część z nich odrzuciła tradycyjne chrześcijaństwo. W powstałą w ten sposób religijną próżnię zaczęły wchodzić nowe ruchy, oparte zarówno o religie Wschodu, jak i o nowe wizje chrześcijaństwa. Wtedy właśnie Berg jako pastor rozpoczął pracę duszpasterską wśród hipisów. Pierwsza założona przez niego wspólnota nosiła nazwę Nastolatki dla Jezusa (ang. Teens for Christ). Dużą popularność uzyskał m. in. dzięki stałemu głoszeniu końca świata, co miało nastąpić w wyniku trzęsień ziemi (Kalifornia miała zostać pochłonięta przez ocean) i wielkiej światowej bitwy w miejscu Har-Magedon, co miało nastąpić w 1993 roku oraz upadku całego systemu ekonomicznego świata.
