The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, widely known as the LDS Church or the Mormon Church, is the largest and most well-known denomination originating from the Latter Day Saint movement. The church is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and has established congregations and temples worldwide, reporting approximately 13 million members on its rolls.

The Church of Christ was the original church organization founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. Organized informally in 1829 and then as a legal entity on April 6 1830 in northwestern New York state, it was the first organization implementing the principles found in Smith's newly-published Book of Mormon, and represents the formal beginning of the Latter Day Saint movement.

Die Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) ist eine christliche Glaubensgemeinschaft. In den USA gilt sie mit knapp 2% der Bevölkerung als fünftgrößte Religionsgemeinschaft. Im Bundesstaat Utah  stellt sie die Bevölkerungsmehrheit.Oft wird die Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage gemeinsam mit kleinen bis winzigen Splittergruppen zur Konfessionsgruppe der Mormonen zusammengefasst. Formell gegründet wurde die Kirche von Joseph Smith jun. am 6. April 1830 in Fayette im US-Bundesstaat New York. Heute hat sie ihren Hauptsitz in Salt Lake City im US-Bundesstaat Utah. Insgesamt umfasst die Kirche nach eigenen Angaben (31.12.2006) rund 12,9 Millionen Mitglieder weltweit in über 160 Ländern und Territorien, davon ca. 5,5 Millionen in den USA.

Kościół Jezusa Chrystusa Świętych w Dniach Ostatnich (ang. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, w skrócie LDS) jest chrześcijańskim i największym wyznaniem w ramach ruchu Świętych w Dniach Ostatnich. Pierwotna nazwa brzmiała Kościół Chrystusa, lecz zmieniono ją dla odróżnienia od innych kościołów chrześcijańskich. Założycielem i pierwszym prorokiem Kościoła był Joseph Smith, Jr. Wyznawcy nazywani są potocznie mormonami (choć nazwą tą określa się również mniejsze kościoły oparte na naukach Smitha). Jedną z najważniejszych różnic dzielących ten kościół od innych kościołów chrześcijańskich jest uznawania Księgi Mormona za świętą obok Biblii.

A Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias é uma igreja de fundamentação cristã, com características restauracionistas e cujos membros são conhecidos popularmente como mórmons. O nome oficial da igreja se refere a Jesus Cristo como seu líder e a conversão dos fiéis, ou santos, à igreja, na última dispensação — de onde surge a referência aos últimos dias. O termo santos é a mesma denominação usada na época que Jesus Cristo veio a Palestina (veja Atos 9:13, 9:32,9:41 e 26:10).
