The Black Crowes

The Black Crowes are a blues-oriented hard rock jam band who have sold over 19 million albums and were hailed by Melody Maker as "The Most Rock 'n' Roll Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World". The band has toured with acts such as Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Jimmy Page, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Oasis, AC/DC and Lenny Kravitz. The Crowes are listed at #92 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock".

The Black Crowes est un groupe de musique Rock ’n’ roll américain. Leur rock sudiste est fortement influencé par des pionniers tels que The Allman Brothers Band et Lynyrd Skynyrd, mais aussi largement ancré dans la musique des Faces, des Rolling Stones période Mick Taylor ou de Led Zeppelin (une collaboration avec Jimmy Page a d'ailleurs donné lieu à un album).

Sie haben bisher mehr als 15 Millionen Alben verkauft und sind u.a. von dem ehemals in Großbritannien erschienen Musikmagazin Melody Maker als "The Most Rock 'n' Roll Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World" ausgezeichnet worden. Die Band war mit Größen wie Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Jimmy Page, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Oasis und Lenny Kravitz auf Tour. Die Black Crowes werden an 92. Stelle der "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" des US-amerikanischen Musiksenders VH1 geführt. Dabei ist ihr musikalischer Stil weniger der klassische Hardrock, sondern eher eine Mischung aus Blues, Rock('n'Roll) und Soul.
