The Gap Band
The Gap Band was an American funk band, who rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s. Comprising brothers Charlie, Ronnie and Robert Wilson, the band first formed as the Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band in 1967 in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group shortened its name to The Gap Band in 1973. After 43 years together, they retired in 2010.

Die GAP Band ist eine US-amerikanische Funk&Soul-Band. Sie besteht aus den drei Brüdern Ronnie, Robert und Charlie Wilson. Die Abkürzung GAP setzt sich aus den drei Straßennamen ihrer Heimatstadt Tulsa zusammen: Greenwood, Archer und Pine. Seit Mitte der 70er Jahre sind sie als Gruppe aktiv. Ihren ersten Erfolg landeten sie 1979 mit „Shake" gefolgt von „Oops, Upside Your Head". Bis 1989 hatten sie kontinuierlichen Chart-Erfolg. Ihre Alben erreichten 2 mal Gold und 3 mal Platin.

The Gap Band
The Gap Band is een Amerikaans funktrio uit Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hun grootste populariteit hebben ze begin jaren 80. Ze zijn vooral bekend van de hit Oops upside your head (I don't believe you wanna get up and dance).
