Thailand ( or ; , ), officially the Kingdom of Thailand (, ; ), formerly known as Siam (; ), is a country located at the centre of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the north by Burma and Laos, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Burma. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast, and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest.

Das Königreich Thailand (Thai: , Aussprache: [], , umgangssprachlich: [], oder []) ist ein Staat in Südostasien. Es grenzt an Myanmar, Laos, Kambodscha, Malaysia, das Andamanische Meer (Teil des Indischen Ozeans) und den Golf von Thailand (Teil des Pazifischen Ozeans). Das Land wird als konstitutionelle Monarchie mit König Bhumibol Adulyadej als Staatsoberhaupt regiert, der bereits 1946 zum König ernannt wurde. Die Hauptstadt Thailands und auch mit Abstand größte Stadt des Landes ist Bangkok.

La Thaïlande (ประเทศไทย) est un pays d'Asie dont le territoire couvre 514 000 km² et qui compte environ 70 millions d'habitants (2007). Il a changé de nom en 1949 : auparavant, il s'appelait le Siam. Thailande signifie pays libre. Il est bordé à l'ouest par l'Union du Myanmar, au sud par la Malaisie, à l'est par le Cambodge et au nord-est par le Laos.

Thailand (av Muang Tai med betydelsen 'de frias land', förr Siam, eller Sajam, troligen från folkgruppen shan), formellt Konungariket Thailand, är en monarki i Sydostasien. Landet gränsar till Laos och Kambodja i öst, Myanmar (Burma) i väst och till Malaysia i syd.

Tajlandia (Królestwo Tajlandii) – państwo w południowo-wschodniej Azji, graniczące z Laosem i Kambodżą na wschodzie, z Malezją na południu oraz z Birmą (Myanmarem) i Morzem Andamańskim na zachodzie. Tajlandia jest także nazywana Syjamem, gdyż była to jego oficjalna nazwa do 11 maja 1949. Międzynarodowe określenie "Thai" (ไทย) znaczy po tajsku wolny.
