The Temple Mount (, Har haBáyit), also known as the Noble Sanctuary (, al-ḥaram al-qudsī ash-sharīf) is a religious site in the Old City of Jerusalem.The Temple Mount is the holiest site for Judaism. The Jewish Temple in Jerusalem stood there: the First Temple (built c. 967 BCE, destroyed c. 586 BCE by the Babylonians), and the Second Temple (rebuilt c. 516 BCE, destroyed in the siege of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 CE). According to a commonly held belief in Judaism, it is to be the site of the final Third Temple, to be rebuilt with the coming of the Jewish Messiah.

[Judaic] Also known as Mount Moriah and Mount Zion, it is the Eastern hill in Jerusalem situated between the Valley of Hinnom and the Valley Kidron, that is the site of the first and second Temples.
