Telephassa

In Greek mythology, Telephassa, also known as Argiope, was the wife of Agenor. In some cases she is the daughter to Nilus, god of the Nile. She had several children, including Europa, Cilix, Cadmus Thasus and Phoenix (see Agenor Article). Her husband was Agenor. (Or possibly her husband was  Phoenix in a version in which Cadmus and Europa and their brothers are sons of Phoenix. See Agenor and Phoenix).

Telefassa è un personaggio della mitologia greca noto anche come Argiope.Era moglie di Agenore, re di Tiro, figlio di Poseidone, ebbe da lui numerosi figli, Europa, Cadmo, Fenice e Cilice. In alcuni casi è figlia del Nilo.Dopo il rapimento di Europa da parte di Zeus e la trasformazione della stessa in una mucca, i fratelli si misero alla ricerca della fanciulla, diventando grazie alle loro imprese re di svariati popoli (tebani, cilici, fenici). Anche Telefassa partì, ma morì nella ricerca.
