Ted Nelson
Theodor Holm Nelson (born June 17, 1937) is an American sociologist, philosopher, and pioneer of information technology (IT sociolosopher). He coined the terms "hypertext" and "hypermedia" in 1963 and published them in 1965. He also has been credited with first using the words transclusion, virtuality, intertwingularity, and teledildonics.

Ted Nelson
Theodor Holm Nelson (né en 1937) est un sociologue américain, pionnier de l'histoire des technologies de l'information. Il est considéré comme l'inventeur de l'hypertexte dont il a inventé le terme en 1965.

Ted Nelson
Theodor Holm Nelson (ur. 1937) – twórca terminu "hipertekst" (1965, w rzeczywistości Nelson mówił już o hipermediach) i pionier technik informacyjnych. Ukuł także terminy transkluzja i intertwingularity.
Jest synem aktorki Celeste Holm i reżysera telewizyjnego Ralpha Nelsona. W 1959 zdobył tytuł bakałarza w dziedzinie filozofii w Swarthmore College, w 1963 tytuł magistra socjologii w Harvard University, a w 2002 doktorat w z informacji środowiskowej w Keio University. W 1998 został odznaczony Yuri Rubinsky Memorial Award.
