The tebibyte is a standards-based binary multiple (prefix tebi, symbol Ti) of the byte, a unit of digital information storage. The tebibyte unit symbol is TiB.

Byte är en informationsenhet som bland annat används i datorsammanhang, ofta den minsta adresserbara enheten, och en måttenhet för informationsstorlek. Pluralformen är i allmänhet densamma. I moderna sammanhang är en byte nästan uteslutande synonymt med en oktett, en sekvens bestående av informationsbärande 8 bitar.

Il tebibyte è un unità di misura dell' informazione o della quantità di dati, il termine deriva dalla contrazione di tera binary byte ed ha per simbolo TiB. Questo standard è stato definito dalla Commissione Elettrotecnica Internazionale (IEC) nel dicembre 1998 per stabilire i nuovi multipli del byte.
Il tebibyte è collegato strettamente al terabyte, il quale è usato (creando spesso ambiguità) o come sinonimo per tebibyte oppure per riferirsi a 10¹² byte (1.000.000.000.000 byte) creando in questo ultimo caso un errore del 10%.
