Tap is a 1989 film written and directed by Nick Castle.At its core is tap dancer Max Washington, just released from prison after serving time for burglary. Back on the streets, he's torn between collaborating with his girlfriend Amy's father, Little Mo, on a show or joining forces with his former partners-in-crime on a new caper.The cast includes Gregory HinesSuzzanne DouglassSammy Davis, Jr. (in his final film appearance), Savion GloverJoe MortonTerrence E. McNallyHarold Nicholas, and Jimmy Slyde. The original score was composed by James Newton Howard, and the dance routines performed in Washington's old hangout, a club patronized by "hoofers", were choreographed by Henry LeTang.
