Taoism

Taoism (Daoism) is the English name referring to a variety of related Chinese philosophical and religious traditions and concepts. These traditions influenced East Asia for over two thousand years and some have spread internationally. Taoist propriety and ethics emphasize the Three Jewels of the Tao; namely, compassion, moderation, and humility. Taoist thought focuses on wu wei ("non-action"), spontaneity, humanism, and emptiness. An emphasis is placed on the link between people and nature. Taoism teaches that this link lessened the need for rules and order, and leads one to a better understanding of the world.

Le taoïsme (道教 dào jiào « enseignement de la Voie ») est à la fois une philosophie et une religion chinoise. Plongeant ses racines dans la culture ancienne, ce courant se fonde sur des textes, dont le Dao De Jing (tao te king) de Laozi (Lao-tseu), et s’exprime par des pratiques, qui influencèrent tout l’Extrême-Orient. Il apporte entre autres :une mystique quiétiste, reprise par le bouddhisme Chan (ancêtre du zen japonais) ;une éthique libertaire qui inspira notamment la littérature ;un sens des équilibres yin yang poursuivi par la médecine chinoise et le développement personnel ;un naturalisme visible dans la calligraphie et l’art.

Der Daoismus , gemäß anderen Umschriften auch Taoismus, ist eine chinesische Philosophie und Religion und wird als Chinas eigene und authentisch chinesische Religion angesehen. Seine historisch gesicherten Ursprünge liegen im 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr., als das Daodejing (in älteren Umschriften: Tao te king, Tao te ching …) des Laozi (Laotse, Lao-tzu) entstand.

Taoizm (czasem zapisywany jako daoizm) to tradycyjny chiński system filozoficzny i religijny. Stworzenie filozofii taoistycznej przypisuje się Laozi w VI wieku p.n.e., taoizm religijny miał powstać w II i III wieku n.e. Za najważniejsze księgi taoizmu uważane są Daodejing (Tao Te Ching) oraz Zhuangzi.

Il Taoismo (oppure Daoismo; in cinese Daojiao 道教, letteralmente "insegnamento del Tao") è una religione monistica, panteistica ed enoteistica originaria della Cina , istituzionalizzatasi come tale all'incirca nel II secolo avanti Cristo, scaturendo da un movimento di pensiero nato dalla combinazione dell'antica filosofia cinese con le opere spirituali di Laozi , una commistione già attiva tra il VII e il V secolo avanti Cristo. Il Taoismo affonda le sue radici nell'antica cultura cinese, proponendosi in differenti forme e caratterizzando l'arte, la vita e la spiritualità dell'Estremo Oriente. Se ne trovano influenze nel Buddhismo, in particolare nello Zen, nella medicina tradizionale cinese , nella politica e nell'estetica. È componente essenziale delle arti marziali ed è venuto a contatto anche con l'Occidente, attraverso temi come l'ambientalismo , l'ecologia  e lo sviluppo personale.
