Tao

Tao or Dao (道, Pinyin: Dào, Cantonese: Dou) is a Chinese character often translated as ‘The way of nature'. In ancient China, dao could be modified by other nouns. Tao is simply the way and order of the universe.Lao Tsu taught that the wisest approach was a way of ‘non-action’ ("Wuwei"or "wu wei") – not inaction but rather a harmonisation of one’s personal will with the natural harmony and justice of Nature. ‘The World is ruled by letting things take their natural course. It cannot be ruled by going against nature or arrogance.’ (Tao Te Ching; Verse 48). It also means that the individual should do things natural to tao and appropriate to do in his circumstances, thus serving as an instrument of the Law rather than doing the things as individuals. That is why no one should take any credit for things done. Nature is stabilized by order, and humans along with all other natural phenomena exist within nature. Attempting to force one's own path is arrogant, futile and self-destructive.

Le taoïsme (道教 dào jiào « enseignement de la Voie ») est à la fois une philosophie et une religion chinoise. Plongeant ses racines dans la culture ancienne, ce courant se fonde sur des textes, dont le Dao De Jing (tao te king) de Laozi (Lao-tseu), et s’exprime par des pratiques, qui influencèrent tout l’Extrême-Orient. Il apporte entre autres :une mystique quiétiste, reprise par le bouddhisme Chan (ancêtre du zen japonais) ;une éthique libertaire qui inspira notamment la littérature ;un sens des équilibres yin yang poursuivi par la médecine chinoise et le développement personnel ;un naturalisme visible dans la calligraphie et l’art.

Dào heißt wörtlich aus dem Chinesischen übersetzt „Weg“, „Straße“, „Pfad“ und bedeutete in der klassischen Zeit Chinas „Methode“, „Prinzip“, „der rechte Weg“, was dem Wort im Konfuzianismus entspricht. Die Übersetzung nähert nur sehr grob an den abstrakten Gehalt des Wortes im daoistischen Kontext, denn das Dàodéjing des Laozi stellte das Dào zum ersten mal als eine Art von transzendenter höchster Wirklichkeit und Wahrheit dar.

Tao lub dao — podstawowe pojęcie filozofii chińskiej, kluczowe dla taoizmu, ale używane również przez inne kierunki m.in. konfucjanizm. W zależności od autora i szkoły terminowi tao przypisywane są bardzo rożne znaczenia, od „uniwersalnej zasady kierującej wszechświatem” po „metodę postępowania [danej osoby]”.

Disc At Once, DAO – sposób zapisu dysków CD-R i DVD-R, w którym cała zawartość zapisywana jest za jednym razem bez wyłączania lasera. Przy nagrywaniu płyt z muzyką zapobiega to powstawaniu dodatkowych dwusekundowych przerw pomiędzy ścieżkami. Do tak zapisanego dysku nie można jednak już nic dopisać (jest to nagranie jednosesyjne). Możliwe jest dodanie "cd-tekst", czyli dodatkowe informacje tekstowe wyświetlane podczas odtwarzania płyty, jak np. nazwa płyty, wykonawca utworu, tytuł oraz overburning – zapis nieco większej ilości danych dzięki przesunięciu i skróceniu czasu (obszaru) Lead-Out płyty.

Track-at-once, TAO – metoda zapisu dysków optycznych polegająca na zapisaniu jednej ścieżki (jednego nagrania) na płycie CD-R i wygaszaniu lasera przed rozpoczęciem zapisu kolejnej. Tryb Track-at-once umożliwia nagranie każdego dostępnego formatu (CD-DA, CD-ROM, itp.) oraz tworzenie dysków wielosesyjnych (ang. multisession disc), tj. wielokrotne dogrywanie danych. Minimalna długość nagrania musi wynosić co najmniej 300 bloków (4 sekundy), co odpowiada około 700 kB danych. Laser jest wyłączany po zapisaniu każdego nagrania. Aby być w zgodzie ze specyfikacją na płycie CD może się znaleźć maksymalnie 99 nagrań.

Tao (道 letteralmente la Via o il Sentiero; traslitterazione pinyin: dào - in giapponese: dō), spesso tradotto come Il Principio, è uno dei principali concetti della Filosofia cinese. È l'eterna, essenziale e fondamentale forza che scorre attraverso tutta la materia dell'Universo, vivente o meno. È solitamente associata al taoismo, ma anche il Confucianesimo fa riferimento ad essa. Per dirla in una parola, il Tao "è".
