Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania ( ), is a country in East Africa bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south. The country's eastern border lies on the Indian Ocean.

Tanzania, Zjednoczona Republika Tanzanii (suahili Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, ang. United Republic of Tanzania) – państwo we wschodniej Afryce powstałe z połączenia dwóch dawnych kolonii: niemieckiej (po I wojnie światowej brytyjskiej) Tanganiki oraz brytyjskiego Zanzibaru, co symbolizowała nazwa utworzona z początkowych sylab obu krajów. Obecnie te kraje stanowią podmioty Tanzanii jako republiki federacyjnej.
