Tantum ergo

Tantum Ergo
Tantum ergo are the opening words of the last two verses of Pange Lingua, a Mediaeval Latin hymn written by St Thomas Aquinas. These last two verses are sung during veneration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the Roman Catholic Church and other churches that practice this devotion. It is usually sung, though solemn recitation is sometimes done, and permitted.

Tantum Ergo
Tantum Ergo est un extrait (les deux dernières strophes) de l'hymne eucharistique (Pange Lingua), composée par Saint Thomas d'Aquin pour la célébration du Saint-Sacrement (Fête-Dieu). Les deux autres hymes écrits par Saint Thomas d'Aquin sont O Salutaris Hostia et Panis Angelicus.

Tantum ergo
Tántum érgo («та́нтум э́рго») — в Римско-католической Церкви песнопение, исполняемое перед Святыми Дарами во время адорации. Текст песнопения представляет собой две последние строфы гимна «Pange lingua», написанного известным католическим богословом Фомой Аквинским (1225—1274).
Известны как минимум два русских литургических перевода этого песнопения. Один, более ранний, напечатан в молитвеннике «Вознесём сердца» 1990 года. Другой, выполненный П.Д. Сахаровым, является в настоящее время официальным переводом, используемым в богослужении Католической Церкви в России. В нижеследующей таблице эти переводы обозначены соответственно A и B.
