Tancredo Neves International Airport , popularly known as Confins International Airport, is located 45 km from downtown
Belo Horizonte. It is currently the largest and busiest airport in the state
Minas Gerais. It is deemed to be one of the finest and best equipped in
Latin America. It used to be under-utilized and was among
Brazil's least used
airports, this was because, Belo Horizonte also have an airport closer to downtown, Pampulha Regional Airport, but since 2005 all flights from and to ouside Minas Gerais were tranfered to Confins International Airport, now This is one of the most busiest airports in the country. The name honors the memory of former President
Tancredo Neves.
