Tabiteuea is the collective name for two neighbouring islands in the
Pacific Ocean, Tabiteuea North and Tabiteuea South. The islands lie in the country of
Kiribati, south of
Tarawa. Tabiteuea North has a land area of 26 km² with a population of 2,990
as of 2001, while Tabiteuea South has a land area of 12 km² and a population of 1,293.
