Transport stream (TS, TP, or MPEG-TS) is a communications protocol for audio, video, and data which is specified in MPEG-2 Part 1, Systems (ISO/IEC standard 13818-1[1]). Its design goal is to allow multiplexing of digital video and audio and to synchronize the output. Transport stream offers features for error correction for transportation over unreliable media, and is used in broadcast applications such as DVB and ATSC. It is contrasted with program stream, designed for more reliable media such as DVDs.

Le protocole Transport Stream (flux de transport) (TS, TP, ou MPEG-TS) est un protocole de communication visant l'audio, la vidéo et les données, spécifié dans la norme MPEG-2 partie 1 (System, standard ISO/IEC 13818-1). Son but premier est de permettre le multiplexage de video et d'audio, afin de synchroniser le tout. Ce protocole comprend des fonctionnalités de correction d'erreur pour le transport sur média non-sûr, et est largement utilisé pour des applications de diffusion tels que le DVB et l'ATSC. C'est un equivalent au Program Stream, protocole visant lui les médias dit sûrs, comme le DVD.
