Midrash Tanhuma (Hebrew: מדרש תנחומא) is the name given to three different collections of Pentateuch haggadot; two are extant, while the third is known only through citations. These midrashim, although bearing the name of R. Tanḥuma, must not be regarded as having been written or edited by him. They were so named merely because they consist partly of homilies originating with him (this being indicated by the introductory formula "Thus began R. Tanḥuma" or "Thus preached R. Tanḥuma") and partly of homilies by haggadic teachers who followed the style of R. Tanḥuma. It is possible that R. Tanḥuma himself preserved his homilies, and that his collection was used by the editors of the midrash. The three collections were edited at different times; they will, therefore, be treated in chronological order.

Thunderbirds are Now! is a Detroit-based neo-post-punk band whose sound uses a mix of traditional punk rock and electronics. The band is heavily influenced by 1980s New Wave and other neo-post-punk acts like Les Savy Fav. They are currently signed to French Kiss Records, however they have two releases on Action Driver Records and one self-released album.

En mathématiques, les fonctions trigonométriques sont des fonctions d'angle importantes pour étudier les triangles, les cercles et modéliser des phénomènes périodiques. Les fonctions trigonométriques ne sont rien d'autre que des longueurs relatives à la mesure d'un angle sur le cercle unité, mais elles sont utilisées dans de nombreuses autres applications. Elles sont parfois définies comme rapports de deux longueurs des côtés d'un triangle rectangle contenant l'angle, ou, plus généralement, comme somme d'une série entière.

In Japan wird im Allgemeinen sehr viel Wert auf Etikette und Umgangsformen gelegt. Das schlägt sich auch in den japanischen Anreden nieder. Sie sind ein wesentlicher Teil der japanischen Höflichkeitssprache. Da sich die vielen feinen Abstufungen in anderen Sprachen meist nicht genau wiedergeben lassen, hat es sich eingebürgert, in Übersetzungen die japanischen Anreden unverändert beizubehalten.

Eine Tangente (von lateinisch tangere: berühren) ist in der Geometrie eine Gerade, die eine gegebene Kurve in einem bestimmten Punkt berührt. Ein Beispiel ist eine Schiene, die von einem Rad in einem einzigen Punkt berührt wird. Tangente und Kurve haben im Berührungspunkt die gleiche Richtung. Die Tangente ist in diesem Punkt die beste lineare Annäherung für die Kurve.
