TALAUD

Talaud Islands is a group of islands located north of Sulawesi island in Indonesia. It is one of the regencies of North Sulawesi. The Talaud Islands are also the northernmost region of Indonesia, bordering the Philippines.There are 77 islands in the archipelago, of which 56 are inhabited. Most of the population of 260,370 (1996) are involved in agriculture, which includes coconuts, vanilla, nutmeg, and cloves. Numerous volcanoes produce very fertile volcanic soil on many of the islands. [1]As the regency is economically poor, the central government has agreed to construct road of 91 km long with the budget of 14 million Rupiah.

Les Talaud sont un groupe d'îles situées au nord de l'île indonésienne de Célèbes. Elles forment la région la plus septentrionale de l'Indonésie et marquent la frontière avec les Philippines situées au nord.

Talaud (vereinzelt Talaut oder Salibabo) ist der Name einer Inselgruppe von kleineren  indonesischen Inseln, die nordöstlich der Sangiri-Inseln liegen. Die von den Inseln eingenommene Landmasse beträgt etwa 1.285 km².Die größte Insel der Gruppe ist Karkelang (Karakelong) mit 1.025 km². Südlich befindet sich Salibabo (Salebabu) und Kabruang (Kaburuang). Die Inseln sind fruchtbar und gut mit Landwirtschaft versorgt. Auch der Fischfang ist ergiebig.Die Inseln werden von Manado - als Teil der Nordprovinz Sulawesi (Sulawesi Utara provinsi) - aus verwaltet.

Wyspy Talaud, Talaut, Talaur (indonez. Kepulauan Talaud) - archipelag na Oceanie Spokojnym na północ od Moluków.Powierzchnia 1281 km². Składa się z kilkunastu wysp, największe to: Karakelong (845.6 km²), Salebabu (155 km²), Kaburuang (93 km²) oraz wyspy Nanusa. Powierzchnia górzysta, najwyższe wzniesienie 680 m n.p.m., porosnięte lasem równikowym.Gospodarka: uprawa palmy kokosowej, sagowca, muszkatołowca; rybołówstwo, eksploatacja lasów (rattan, heban, drzewo żelazne).
