TACHELHIT

Tashelhiyt (also Tashelhit or Tachelhit or Tachelhiyt or Shilha, native name: , French: tachelhit, Arabic: تشلحيت) is the largest Berber language by number of speakers (between 8 and 10 million). Tashelhiyt is spoken in Southern Morocco an area ranging from the northern slopes of the High-Atlas to the southern slopes of the Anti-Atlas, bounded to the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The eastern limit of the Tashelhiyt area is difficult to pinpoint because of a smooth transition into Southern Middle Atlas Berber or Tamazight. The Sous region is central to the Tashelhiyt area, therefore the language is often called Sous-Berber or tasusiyt (tasousit), even though it stretches to surrounding regions well outside of Sous. Tashelhiyt is known for its rich oral literature. Literature written in the Arabic script has been produced from the second half of sixteenth century on; Muhammad Awzal (ca. 1680-1749) was the most prolific poet of the Tashelhiyt literary tradition.

La tachelhit (chleuh en arabe) est la langue berbère parlée par les Chleuhs ou 'Ichelḥiyen'. La langue tachelhit est la plus importante langue berbère du Maroc par le nombre de locuteurs et par l'ampleur de son extension. Elle est appelé tasousit par les locuteurs de la tamazight du sud-est marocain pour la distinguer de leur langue qu'il dénomment aussi tachelhit, mais l'intercompréhension entre ces deux langues n'est pas complète.

Les Chleuhs ('Acelḥi', pluriel 'Icelḥiyen') sont un peuple berbère habitant le Haut Atlas, l'Anti-Atlas et la vallée du Souss, au sud-ouest du Maroc. Ils parlent le chleuh (tachelhit), l'un des trois principaux dialectes berbères marocains.

Taschelhit (arabisch: تشلحيت; auch Schilh, Schöh, Schluh; französisch Tachelhit, Chleuh) ist eine Sprachvariation der Berberischen/Masirischen Berbersprache, die in Marokko gesprochen wird. Diese Sprache wird auch als Tassussit oder Souss-Tamazight bezeichnet.Die Sprecher des Tachelhit werden in Marokko auf etwa 3,5 Millionen geschätzt. In Frankreich und Belgien lebt eine große Gemeinde aus dem Südmarokko, die diese Sprache weiterhin pflegt.

Tashelhiyt (eigennaam Tašlḥiyt, in het Frans: tachelhit of chleuh, in het Engels Shilha, in het Arabisch: تشلحيت) is een Berbertaal die gesproken wordt in het Atlasgebergte in zuidelijk Marokko door tussen de 8 en 10 miljoen mensen.De Sous-vlakte is het centrum van het Tashelhiyt-gebied en een belangrijke variant van het Tashelhiyt is dan ook Sous Berber of Tasoussit. Er bestaat een omvangrijke orale literatuur in het Sous Berber, en de geschreven traditie (waarbij gebruikgemaakt wordt van de Magribijnse variant van het Arabische schrift) reikt terug tot het einde van de zestiende eeuw. Muhammad Awzal (1680-1749) was één van de belangrijkste Sous-dichters.

Tashelhit (también Tachelhit o Tachelhiyt o Shilha) es la mayor Lengua bereber de Marruecos por número de hablantes (Entre 8 y 10 millones) y por la extensión de su área. Tachelhit es hablada en el sur de Marruecos en área que va desde las laderas de los altos Atlas a las laderas meridionales de los anti atlas limitado al occidente por el Océano Atlántico. Los límites orientales de el Tachelhit son díficiles de precisar por la suave transición al Tamazight del Atlas Central.
