Téhéran

Tehran (; Persian: تهران Tehrān) is the capital and largest city of Iran and the administrative center of Tehran Province.More than half of Iran's industry is based in Tehran. Industries include the manufacturing of automobiles, electronics and electrical equipment, military weaponry, textiles, sugar, cement, and chemical products. It is also a leading center for the sale of carpets and furniture. There is an oil refinery south of the city.

Téhéran , prononcé (IPA), est la capitale de l'Iran. Située au nord du pays, au pied des monts Alborz, la ville donne son nom à la province dont elle est également la capitale. Téhéran a vu sa population multipliée par quarante depuis qu'elle est devenue la capitale suite au changement de dynastie de 1786, soit habitants en 2006, tandis que l'agglomération regroupe habitants en 2008. La ville possède un métro (trois lignes en 2007) et un dense réseau autoroutier.

Miasto ma 7,3 mln mieszkańców (2005) a aglomeracja miejska 12,1 mln mieszkańców (2005), zajmująca 658 kilometrów kwadratowych. Teheran jest również stolicą prowincji o tej samej nazwie.Ponad połowa irańskiego przemysłu znajduje się w Teheranie. Stanowią go fabryki samochodów, podzespołów elektronicznych, urządzeń elektrycznych, przemysłu zbrojeniowego, włokienniczego, cukrowego, cementowego i chemicznego. Jest to również centrum sprzedaży dywanów i mebli. W pobliżu Teheranu znajduje się także rafineria.

Teheran (scritto anche Tehrān, تهران in Persiano) è la capitale e la città più grande dell'Iran. Essa conta oltre 11 milioni di abitanti (e la sua area metropolitana arriva a 15 milioni) ed è il più importante centro industriale, politico e socio-culturale del paese.
