Swiss International Air Lines AG (short: Swiss) is the flag carrier airline of Switzerland operating scheduled services in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Its main hub is Zurich Airport (ZRH). The airline was formed after the 2002 bankruptcy of Swissair, Switzerland's former flag carrier.

Das Streckennetz von Swiss umfasst 90 Ziele (58 europäische und 32 interkontinentale) in 42 Ländern (Sommerflugplan 2009)

Die Schweiz (französisch Suisse, italienisch Svizzera und rätoromanisch Svizra), amtlich Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft, ist ein Binnenstaat und Alpenland in Mitteleuropa. Sie grenzt an Deutschland, Österreich, Liechtenstein, Italien und Frankreich. Die Schweiz hat verfassungsmässig keine Hauptstadt, der Sitz der Regierung ist die Bundesstadt Bern (siehe auch Hauptstadtfrage der Schweiz).

Swiss (nom officiel Swiss International Air Lines Ltd.) (code IATA : LX ; code OACI : SWR) est une compagnie aérienne suisse formée suite à la fusion de Swissair, alors en faillite, et de Crossair. Les créditeurs majoritaires de Swissair, le Crédit Suisse et l'UBS, s'arrangent au travers du plan "Phoenix 26" pour vendre Swissair à Crossair. Cette dernière change de nom et devient SWISS. Elle démarre ses opérations le 31 mars 2002.

Schweiz eller officiellt Schweiziska edsförbundet (tyska: Schweiz, Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft; franska: Suisse, Confédération suisse; italienska: Svizzera, Confederazione Svizzera; rätoromanska: Svizra, Confederaziun svizra; latin: Helvetia, Confoederatio Helvetica) är en förbundsrepublik i Centraleuropa, som gränsar till Frankrike, Tyskland, Italien, Österrike och Liechtenstein.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) är Schweiz största flygbolag. Förutom destinationer inom Europa trafikerar SWISS även destinationer i Nordamerika, Sydamerika, Asien och Afrika. SWISS har sin operativa bas i Zürich och huvudkontor i Basel.

SWISS (oficjalna nazwa: Swiss International Air Lines, kod linii IATA: LX) – szwajcarskie linie lotnicze. Powstały w 2002 roku w wyniku przejęcia części majątku upadłego Swissair przez dokapitalizowaną regionalną linię Crossair. Obsługują 69 połączeń do 42 krajów świata. Flota składa się z 67 samolotów. Zatrudnienie - 7456 osób (6539 FTEs).

Szwajcaria, Konfederacja Szwajcarska (Confoederatio Helvetica, Schweiz, Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft) – państwo federacyjne w Europie Zachodniej. Jest jednym z niewielu państw, w których obowiązuje demokracja bezpośrednia. Szwajcaria od kongresu wiedeńskiego w 1815 roku jest państwem neutralnym. Do Narodów Zjednoczonych przystąpiła dopiero 10 września 2002 po przegłosowaniu tej decyzji w referendum minimalną większością 52% głosów.
