Superconductivity
Superconductivity is a phenomenon occurring in certain materials at extremely low temperatures, characterized by exactly zero electrical resistance and the exclusion of the interior magnetic field (the Meissner effect).The electrical resistivity of a metallic conductor decreases gradually as the temperature is lowered. However, in ordinary conductors such as copper and silver, impurities and other defects impose a lower limit. Even near absolute zero a real sample of copper shows a non-zero resistance. The resistance of a superconductor, on the other hand, drops abruptly to zero when the material is cooled below its "critical temperature". An electrical current flowing in a loop of superconducting wire can persist indefinitely with no power source. Like ferromagnetism and atomic spectral lines, superconductivity is a quantum mechanical phenomenon. It cannot be understood simply as the idealization of "perfect conductivity" in classical physics.

La supraconductivité est un phénomène caractérisé par l'absence de résistance électrique et l'annulation du champ magnétique — l'effet Meissner — à l'intérieur de certains matériaux dits supraconducteurs. La supraconductivité découverte historiquement en premier, et que l'on nomme communément supraconductivité conventionnelle, se manifeste à des températures très basses, proches du zéro absolu (-273,15 °C).

Nadprzewodnictwo - cecha przewodnika elektrycznego, polegająca na tym, że w pewnych warunkach ma on zerową rezystancję. Innymi ważnymi zjawiskami zachodzącymi w nadprzewodnikach są: wypychanie pola magnetycznego (efekt Meissnera) oraz kwantowanie strumienia magnetycznego przechodzącego przez nadprzewodzącą pętle. Większość przewodników wykazuje nadprzewodnictwo dopiero w temperaturze bliskiej zera absolutnego, czyli 0 K (-273,15°C).

Superconduttività
La superconduttività o superconduzione è stata scoperta per la prima volta da H. K. Onnes, nel 1911, il quale notò che alcuni metalli assumevano resistenza nulla al passaggio di corrente elettrica, al di sotto di una certa temperatura. La teoria generalmente accettata come spiegazione di tale fenomeno, nota come teoria BCS, dalle iniziali delle tre persone che hanno proposto questa teoria (Bardeen, Cooper, Schreiffer), spiega il fenomeno come dovuto alle interazioni degli elettroni col reticolo cristallino, risultanti in un effetto netto di attrazione tra gli elettroni con spin opposti. Essi formano delle coppie, dette coppie di Cooper, che si comportano come una particella di spin 0. Tutte le particelle di spin 0 sono bosoni, al pari dei fotoni, e tendono a raggrupparsi in un unico stato quantistico, con ampiezza di probabilità proporzionale a , dove n è il numero di particelle nello stesso stato.
