Sudán

Sudan (officially the Republic of Sudan) (as-Sūdān, literally meaning Land of the blacks.) is the largest African country by area. The country is situated at a crossroads between the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea to the northeast, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, Kenya and Uganda to the southeast, Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, and Libya to the northwest. It is the tenth largest country in the world by area.

Le Soudan (en arabe : السودان ‎as-Sūdān; en anglais Sudan) est un pays de l'est de l'Afrique. Bordé par la Libye et l’Égypte au nord, la mer Rouge, l'Érythrée et l'Éthiopie à l'est, le Kenya, l'Ouganda et la République démocratique du Congo au sud, la République centrafricaine, le Tchad à l'ouest, son nom vient de l'arabe balad as-sūdaan, qui signifie littéralement « Pays des noirs ». Les deux langues officielles du pays sont l’arabe et l’anglais, auxquelles s'ajoutent d'autres langues dont les plus importantes sont le dinka, le peul et le nuer.

Die Republik Sudan ist ein Staat in Nordost-Afrika mit Zugang zum Roten Meer und grenzt im Norden an Ägypten und Libyen, im Westen an Tschad und die Zentralafrikanische Republik, im Süden an die Demokratische Republik Kongo, Uganda und Kenia und im Osten an Äthiopien und Eritrea. Mit einer Fläche von über 2,5 Millionen Quadratkilometern ist das Land etwa siebenmal so groß wie Deutschland und größter Flächenstaat des Kontinents.

La Repubblica del Sudan (جمهورية السودان الديموقراطية) è uno stato del Nordafrica. Si affaccia per circa 600 km sul Mar Rosso e confina con l'Egitto, la Libia, il Ciad, la Repubblica Centrafricana, la Repubblica Democratica del Congo, l'Uganda, il Kenia, l'Etiopia e l'Eritrea.In termini di superficie è il più grande stato del continente africano. Attualmente il Sudan è una repubblica presidenziale retta però da una giunta militare.Il nome deriva dall'arabo Bilad as-Sudan, che vuol dire "Paese dei Neri", poiché gli arabi così chiamavano i territori confinanti col Sahara meridionale, le cui popolazioni erano appunto di colore.
