Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town and civil parish in south Warwickshire, England. It lies on the River Avon, south east of Birmingham and south west of Warwick. It is the largest and most populous town of the District of Stratford-on-Avon, which uses the term "on" to indicate that it covers a much larger area than the town itself. Four electoral wards make up the urban town of Stratford; Alveston, Avenue and New Town, Mount Pleasant and Guild and Hathaway. The estimated total population for those wards in 2007 was 25,505.

Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon [] ist eine Stadt in der englischen Grafschaft Warwickshire. Der nahe Birmingham gelegene Ort zählt rund 23.700 Einwohner (2001) und ist der Verwaltungssitz des ähnlich lautenden Distrikts Stratford-on-Avon. Stratford ist vor allem als Geburtsstadt William Shakespeares berühmt. Neben einigen Industrien, wie zum Beispiel Aluminiumverarbeitung und Bootsbau, ist die Stadt vor allem ein bedeutendes Touristenzentrum.

Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon (pol. Stratford nad Avonem), miasto w Anglii, w hrabstwie Warwickshire, nad rzeką Avon. Położone 38 km na południe od Birmingham i 14 km na południowy-zachód od stolicy hrabstwa - Warwick. Miasto zamieszkuje około 24 tys. mieszkańców.
Miasto jest popularnym ośrodkiem turystycznym, średnio rocznie odwiedza je 3,5 miliona turystów z całego świata. To właśnie tutaj urodził się i zmarł William Szekspir.
Atrakcje turystyczne:
- teatry: "Royal Shakespeare Theatre", "Swan" i "The Other Place"
- 5 domów związanych z życiem Szekspira (w tym dom rodzinny)
