Steve Porcaro

Steven Maxwell "Steve" Porcaro (born 2 September 1957, Hartford, Connecticut) is a keyboardist and composer who was an original member of the rock/pop band, Toto.Porcaro wrote the song "Takin' It Back" for Toto's first album, and the song was released as a single together with the hit, "Hold The Line". He also wrote "It's A Feeling" for Toto IV and "Lea" for Fahrenheit. He left Toto in 1986 after the Fahrenheit record in order to pursue a more full-time songwriting and composing career. Another significant credit to note is that Porcaro composed the music for the song "Human Nature" from Michael Jackson's album Thriller.

Steve Porcaro (Hartford, CT, USA, 2 settembre 1957) è un musicista statunitense.Figlio del celebre percussionista Joe Porcaro, insieme col fratello, Jeff Porcaro è stato tra i fondatori del noto gruppo soft Rock dei Toto, gruppo che ha poi abbandonato nel 1988, dopo l'uscita di The Seventh One pur seguendo la band per il tour successivo e collaborandovi negli anni a seguire.Nel 1992 Steve ha dovuto sopportare la perdita del fratello Jeff stroncato da un attacco cardiaco provocatogli da una reazione allergica a dei pesticidi che lui stesso stava adoperando nel giardino di casa, o, come altre fonti sostengono, da un abuso di cocaina.
