Steve Harris (musician)

Stephen Percy Harris (born March 12, 1956 in Leytonstone, London, England) is the bassist and primary composer of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden. In addition, he plays keyboards, sings backing vocals, and is the leader and sole owner of the band. He founded the band as a teenager in 1975. Along with Dave Murray, they are the only members of the band that have appeared on all of the band's albums, and Harris is the only member to remain in the band throughout its duration. He used to work as an architectural draftsman in the East End of London but gave up his job upon forming Iron Maiden. During the mid 1970s he was a youth team footballer for West Ham United. He is a talented football player, and he has stated his first ambition in life before music was to become a professional footballer.

A. als Support für die A Matter of Life and Death-Tour 2006 und A Matter of the Beast-Tour 2007 von Iron Maiden auftrat.

Stephen Percy Harris (ur. 12 marca 1956 r.) – Angielski muzyk rockowy, gitarzysta basowy. Pochodzi z Leytonstone we wschodnim Londynie. Od najmłodszych lat interesował się piłką nożną (jest kibicem West Hamu, w przeciwieństwie do swojego ojca i dziadka, którzy kibicowali drużynie Leyton Orient). Pragnął zostać piłkarzem. Jednak pojawiła się w jego życiu muzyka, która zajęła pierwsze miejsce. Chciał zostać perkusistą, jednak zdecydował się na instrument współpracujący z nią. W wieku 17 lat kupił za 40 funtów kopię gitary basowej Fendera.
