Stand alone
History Stand Alone is a band formed in
Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 with guitarist Greg Watkins, drummer Will Dickerson and bassist Michael Goodman. Shortly after, the members parted ways to pursue their different musical and personal interests. After reforming in 2005, Stand Alone went on to recruit James H. Fulford, III as the lead vocalist and Wes Poss as and additional guitarist. After a few short months the band recorded their first E.P. with Brian Parker (
The Smashing Pumpkins,
Collective Soul) at Arsis Music Productions in
Alpharetta, Georgia. Due to creative differences James H. Fulford, III parted ways with the band shortly after completion. After acquiring a new vocalist, Kenny Hathorne, Stand Alone signed a management and recording contract with Nu-Entertainment. In December 2006, Stand Alone recorded their first first full-length album with Shawn Grove (
Sevendust,
Edwin McCain) and Edgel Groves, Sr. This album was recorded in the same facility that brought Collective Soul success. Stand Alone released “Beside Myself” on
March 23, 2007. Several singles have been featured in the Atlanta radio market. These include “So Alone” and “Fly Away”.

Stand-alone
Stand-alone is a loosely defined term used to sort computer programs. It tries to draw some distinction between programs invoked by some
computer event and those invoked by other programs. However this distinction does not stand up to scrutiny outside the context of certain
embedded systems, since the computer has usually to be running some program that prepares (and sometimes initially processes) the "stand-alone" program to begin with. Hence all programs are launched or prepared/processed by other programs (with the sole exception of the
bootstrap loader), and no code can really be said to stand alone.
