Stéphane Chapuisat
Stéphane Chapuisat (nickname: Chappi; born June 281969 in LausanneSwitzerland) was a football forward, arguably his country's best player of the 1990s. Chapuisat scored 21 goals in 103 caps for Switzerland and played in the 1994 World CupEuro 1996 and Euro 2004..He finished his career in early 2006 after playing for Lausanne Sports in the Challenge League. Chapuisat started his major professional career in the Bundesliga in 1991 playing for Borussia Dortmund. He stayed there until 1999 when he transferred to Grasshoppers Zurich playing there for three years. In 2002 he moved to another Swiss Super League club BSC Young Boys, before moving to his home-town club Lausanne. At club level, Chapuisat won the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund in 1997. He was voted Swiss Footballer of the Year four times, in 1992,19931994 and 2001. He scored 106 goals in 226 games in the German Fußball-Bundesliga.
