Сплайс-пластина — это конструкция для укладки и закрепления сращиваемых оптических волокон разных кабелей. Представляет собой прецизионно выполненные канавки (каналы), позиционирующие сращиваемые оптические волокна точно друг напротив друга. служит также для хранения технологического запаса оптических волокон ,изготовлены ,в основном , из полимерных материалов. Устанавливается обычно в специальные боксы рядом с патч-панелями. Сплайс-пластина предназначена для размещения мест сварки оптического волокна в так называемом кроссе.
