Solrød is a municipality in Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 40 km², and has a total population of 20,759 (2008). Its mayor is Niels Hörup, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The municipal seat is Solrød Strand.

Die Solrød Kommune ist eine dänische Kommune an der Køgebucht, nördlich von Køge in der Region Sjælland. Sie ist sowohl durch die Autobahn als auch durch die S-Bahn mit Kopenhagen verbunden und hat sich besonders in den 1970ern entwickelt. Ortsteile sind Solrød Strand und Jersie Strand an der Küste sowie das eigentliche Solrød und Jersie im Landesinneren. Solrød ist 40 km² groß.
