Solomon ( ISO 259-3 Šlomo; , also colloquially: ; Solomon), according to the Book of Kings and the Book of Chronicles, a King of Israel and according to the Talmud one of the 48 prophets, is identified as the son of David, also called Jedidiah (Hebrew ) in 2 Samuel 12:25, and is described as the third king of the United Monarchy, and the final king before the northern Kingdom of Israel and the southern Kingdom of Judah split; following the split his patrilineal descendants ruled over Judah alone. In the Qur'an, he is considered as a major Prophet, known as Sulaiman, son of David.

Solomon (Künstlername - vollständiger Name: Solomon Cutner; * 9. August 1902 in London; † 2. Februar 1988 ebenda) war ein britischer Pianist.

Nach der Darstellung der Bibel war Salomo, oder auch Salomon genannt (hebr.  Schəlom:o), nach Saul und David der dritte Herrscher des vereinigten Königreichs Israel. Er lebte im 10. Jahrhundert v. Chr.

Salomon, fils de David et de Bethsabée, est un roi d'Israël (de 970 à 931 avant Jésus-Christ selon la chronologie biblique usuelle). Sa sagesse et sa justice sont proverbiales. Il fait construire le premier Temple de Jérusalem. Son histoire est contée dans le Premier livre des Rois.

Salomo (död cirka 930 f.Kr.) var enligt Bibeln kung över Israel och Juda i 40 år. Han var son till David och Batseba. Namnet Salomo kommer från ett rotord som betyder fred eller frid och han hade även tillnamnet Jedidjah (som betyder "Älskad av Jah) (2 Sam.12:24,25). Han prisas i Gamla testamentets skrifter för sin vishet och var den som fick genomföra sin fars planer på att bygga templet i Jerusalem.

Według tradycji biblijnej słynął z mądrości. Na lata jego panowania przypada największa świetność monarchii hebrajskiej.
