Solar wind

The solar wind is a stream of charged particles (i.e., a plasma) which are ejected from the upper atmosphere of the sun. It consists mostly of high-energy electrons and protons (about 1 keV) that are able to escape the sun's gravity in part because of the high temperature of the corona and the high kinetic energy particles gain through a process that is not well understood at this time.

Le vent solaire est un flux de plasma constitué essentiellement d'ions et d'électrons qui sont éjectés de la haute atmosphère du Soleil. Pour les étoiles autres que le Soleil, on parle généralement de vent stellaire. Une tentative de recueil de poussières issue du vent solaire a été tentée par le lancement d'une sonde (mission Genesis) mais la récupération des échantillons s'avère délicate suite à l'écrasement sur Terre de la capsule les contenant.

Der Sonnenwind, der Sternwind der Sonne, ist ein Strom geladener Teilchen, der von der Sonne ins All strömt. Gelegentlich wird insbesondere in der Presse auch der falsche Begriff Sonnenstaub analog zu Sternenstaub verwendet, was insbesondere bei der Berichterstattung zur Genesis-Sonde der Fall war.

Wiatr słoneczny - strumień cząstek wypływających ze Słońca, składających się przede wszystkim z protonów i elektronów o dużej energii (rzędu 500 keV na cząstkę). Rozchodzą się one promieniście we wszystkich kierunkach. Ruch cząstek deformuje pole magnetyczne Słońca i galaktyki oraz wiatr galaktyczny w wyniku czego nie ma on symetrii sferycznej (przestrzeń "wypełniona" wiatrem słonecznym nie jest kulą). Jednocześnie pole magnetyczne Słońca spowalnia wiatr słoneczny, zmniejszając prędkość wiatru a tym samym ograniczając jego zasięg.

Il vento solare è una corrente di particelle (più che altro protoni di alta energia, ~500 keV) emesse dall'atmosfera solare. Anche le altre stelle mostrano lo stesso fenomeno, e si parla quindi di vento stellare, o anche di perdita di massa.
