Shortland Street

Shortland Street is New Zealand's longest-running soap opera airing each weeknight on TVNZ's TV2.Set in a modern metropolitan hospital in the fictional suburb of Ferndale, Auckland, Shortland Street debuted on May 25 1992. In popular culture, Shortland Street is sometimes referred to as Shorty Street or Shorty. According to the TVNZ website, the show has an audience of 700,000 per night which constitutes about 17.5% of the domestic population.
