Shooting Guard

The Shooting guard (SG), also known as the two or off guard, is one of five traditional positions on a basketball team. Players of the position are often shorter, leaner, and quicker than forwards. A shooting guard's main objective is to score points for their team. Some teams ask their shooting guards to bring up the ball as well; these players are known colloquially as "combo guards". A player who can switch between playing shooting guard and small forward is known as a swingman.

Au basket-ball, l'arrière (en anglais : shooting guard) est l'un des cinq postes habituels. Les joueurs jouant à ce poste sont généralement plus petits et plus vifs que les ailiers, et a fortiori que les intérieurs. Le rôle des arrières est généralement de marquer des paniers par des tirs extérieurs, mais certains sont aussi chargés de monter la balle avec le meneur ou de faire quelques pénétrations.

Shooting Guard [] (engl., zu deutsch etwa werfender Verteidiger) ist eine Positionsbezeichnung in der Sportart Basketball. Alternativ wird er auch Two Guard (die Positionen sind im Basketball durchnumeriert: PG ist die 1, SG die 2, usw. bis Center die 5) oder Off Guard (da er sich meist abseits, eng. "off-side", des Balles bzw. des ballführenden Spielers bewegt). Im Gegensatz zum Point Guard, der in der Regel den Spielaufbau übernimmt, ist der Shooting Guard auf Distanzwürfe spezialisiert. Die beiden Guards sind üblicherweise die kleinsten und schnellsten Spieler einer Basketballmannschaft.

La guardia tiratrice (in inglese shooting guard) è uno dei ruoli standard della pallacanestro.La guardie sono generalmente più basse, veloci ed agili ripetto alle ali (forwards). Si tratta solitamente, come si intuisce anche dal nome, del miglior tiratore della squadra, che sia però anche in grado di penetrare verso il canestro se serve. Molte guardie tiratrici possono generalmente giocare anche come ala piccola (small forward). Solitamente, l'altezza sulla quale si aggirano la maggior parte delle guardie è tra 1,93 e 2,03 m (6' 4" - 6' 8").
