Shanklin

Shanklin is a popular seaside resort and civil parish on the Isle of Wight, England, just south of Sandown on the south coast. The old village and the chine are its main attractions along with the sandy beach. The esplanade along the beach is occupied by hotels and restaurants for the most part, and is one of the most tourist-oriented parts of the town. The other is the Old Village, at the top of Shanklin Chine.

Shanklin - miasteczko na wschodzie wyspy Wight (Isle of Wight). Leży blisko takich miasteczek jak Ventnor i Sandown oraz Lake. Wioska turystyczna słynąca z pięknych, piaszczystych plaż i wspaniałych widoków. Do miasteczka można bez problemu dojechać autobusami piętrowymi oraz pociągiem poruszającym na trasie Ryde-Shanklin(Island Line). Na tzw. Esplanade można zagrać w minigolfa, zapuścić się w minikasynie (Jungle Jim), odwiedzić niezliczoną ilość restauracji i hoteli. Głównym miejscem odwiedzanym przez turystów jest Shanklin Chine
