(; Postal map spelling: Shensi) is a province in the central part of Mainland China, and it includes portions of the Loess Plateau on the middle reaches of the Yellow River in addition to the Qinling Mountains across the southern part of this province. Shaanxi is the historical home, along with Gansu of the dialect of the Dungans, of the Hui people, who emigrated out of China to Central Asia.

ist eine Provinz im Herzen Chinas. Die Provinz liegt im Übergangsgebiet zwischen Nord- und Nordwestchina. Angrenzende Provinzen sind die Innere Mongolei, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu und Ningxia. Die meisten Großstädte liegen im dicht besiedelten Tal des Wei-Flusses, wie auch die Provinzhauptstadt Xi'an. In der Wei-Fluss-Ebene leben zwei Drittel der Bevölkerung. Auf dem Lössplateau wird die Landwirtschaft durch Wassermangel und strenge Winter beeinträchtigt.

Le Shaanxi (陕西, pinyin Shǎnxī, à l'ouest du col / de Shan) est une très ancienne province de la Chine, dont le chef-lieu est Xi'an. Elle ne doit pas être confondue avec la province voisine au nom homophone de Shanxi (山西).

Shaanxi (uttal: [ʂanɕi]) är en provins i Kina. Provinsens namn uttalas på kinesiska Shǎnxī, men ofta används stavningen Shaanxi för att undvika förväxling med grannprovinsen Shānxī. Provinsen kallas också Qín (秦), vilket blivit namnet för hela Kina på flertalet språk; Shǎnxī betyder ungefär "väster om bergspasset".
