Sevres

Sèvres is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 9.9 km (6.2 miles) from the  center of Paris.The town is known for its porcelain manufacture, the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, making the famous Sèvres porcelain.

Sèvres ist ein Vorort von Paris im Département Hauts-de-Seine mit etwa 22.700 Einwohnern. Unweit von Schloss Versailles gelegen, ist Sèvres Sitz zahlreicher Kongresse und Organisationen, z. B. des Bureau International des Poids et Mesures, in dem unter anderem das Urkilogramm und der Urmeter aufbewahrt werden.
