Secessionism
Secessionism (; ) is a term coined by Hans-Ulrich Simon to describe and summarise the movements in
art and
literature in late 19th and early 20th century Europe. Published in German only, Simon's pioneering study received little international attention. Nevertheless, it remains a milestone into the investigation of 19th century history.
