Magic, ingenious german midfielder, ball handling, ability of getting through, always an eye for the fellow player: Those are the strengths of Bayern and national team player Mehmet Scholl. Very good fellow of Bayern GK Oliver Kahn. He got injured before France 1998 World Cup, and he needed rest to fully recover, in his aim of going to France, he decided not to rest, even though he was playing very good, Berti Vogts decided to drop him from German World Cup squad. The next shocking aspect for Mehmet was a spinal cartilage. In September '98 he had to go to hospital because of his ankle. Scholl: "During the operation the doctor noticed that a tendon was almost completely damaged". But he is now at his 100% and has superb skills in both German National Team and Bayern München.
