Saxon to brytyjski zespół muzyczny z kręgu NWOBHM założony w 1976 roku (pierwotnie pod nazwą Son of a Bitch) w South Yorkshire. W tekstach piosenek przewijają się przede wszystkim opisy życia rockmeńskiego (motocykle i koncerty) oraz motywy batalistyczne. I Saxon sono un gruppo heavy metal proveniente da Barnsley, Yorkshire, in Inghilterra (Regno Unito), fondato nel 1976 da membri dei Son of a Bitch e dei Coast. Tra i gruppi di punta dell'ondata NWOBHM, i Saxon conquistarono il successo con i famosi tre album Wheels of Steel (1980), Strong Arm of the Law (1980) e Denim and Leather (1981) che gli permetteranno di conquistare un posto nella lista dei grandi dell'heavy metal.
