For the commune in the Doubs department, France, see Saône, Doubs. For the castle in Syria also known as Saone, see Citadel of Salah Ed-Din. The Saône (Sona in Arpitan) is a river of eastern France. It is a right tributary of the River Rhône (Rôno in Arpitan, Ròse in Occitan). Rising at Vioménil in the Vosges department, it joins the Rhône in Lyon (Liyon).
