[Chinese] The name of three legendary Chinese emperors, namely Fu Xi, Shen-nung, and Yen-ti. The period of the rule is variously given as 2852 - 2697 BCE or 2592 - 2490 BCE. The name means "three nobles". They were succeeded by the Wu-di, the five legendary emperors.
