Junker was a paramilitary Nazi rank that was used by the Schutzstaffel (SS) between the years of 1933 and 1945. The rank was a special position held by those aspiring for officer commissions in the armed wing of the SS, first known as the SS-Verfügungstruppe and later as the Waffen-SS.

SS-Junkerschule Bad Tölz was the officers' training school for the Waffen-SS. It was the SS equivalent of Britain's Sandhurst and the USA's West Point. The school was established in 1937, in the town of Bad Tölz which is about 30 miles south of Munich and the location was seemingly chosen because it had both good transport links and was in an inspiring location. The design and construction of the school was intended to impress the staff, students, visitors and passers-by. A sub camp of the Dachau concentration camp was located in the town of Bad Tölz which provided labour for the SS-Junkerschule and the Zentralbauleitung (Central Administration Building). The School operated until the end of World War II in 1945 and after the war the former SS-Junkerschule was the base of the U.S. Army's 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group until 1991.

SS-Junkerschulen waren 1937 eingeführte Militärakademien, die während des Zweiten Weltkriegs die Aufgabe hatten, Offiziersnachwuchs für die Waffen-SS auszubilden. Bis Kriegsbeginn wurden die Absolventen im Gesamtbereich von Allgemeiner SS und Polizei eingesetzt. Sie bildeten den Führungsnachwuchs in der SS-Verfügungstruppe, in der Ordnungspolizei, in den Konzentrationslagern und SS-Totenkopfverbänden und beim SD. Über die militärische Ausbildung hinaus wurde eine im ganzheitlichen Sinne SS-gemäße Lebenshaltung gelehrt.

SS-Junkerschulen var tyska militärakademier under andra världskriget, där officerskandidater från Waffen-SS fick vidare militär utbildning och var utsedda till SS-officerare vid examen. Cirka 15 000 officerskandidater utbildades vid ett flertal undervisningsanläggningar. En känd SS-Junkerschule fanns i Bad Tölz i Bayern. Skolans byggnader blev efter andra världskriget Flint-Kaserne för den amerikanska armén.

SS-Junkerschule ("Scuole per cadetti") è il terminato utilizzato per indicare le accademie militari istituite dalle SS per formare giovani ufficiali da arruolare nelle Waffen-SS.

SS-Junkerschule ble etablert i 1937 og var en tysk krigsskole i Bad Tölz i Bayern under andre verdenskrig som utdannet offiserer til Waffen-SS.
