SIWI

Siwi is a Berber Afro-Asiatic language of Egypt, spoken by about 15,000 people in and around the oasis of Siwa near the Libyan border. Most speakers of Siwi also know Arabic, and the language contains a large number of Egyptian Arabic loanwords. Although Arabic is the official language of Egypt, the first language spoken by Siwa's children is the Siwi.

Le siwi (tasiwit) est un dialecte berbère parlé par les Siwis, population berbère sédentaire habitant la région d'oasis de Siwa au nord-ouest de l'Égypte. Elle est la langue maternelle de cette population qui connaît, en langue secondaire, également l'arabe. Le tasiwit possède de nombreux emprunts à l'arabe.

Siwi (auch Siwa, Sioua, Oasis Berber, Zenati) ist eine von circa 5.000 Berbern in der Oase Siwa in Ägypten gesprochene Berbersprache. Die Sprecher sind Muslime und mehrheitlich zweisprachig mit Arabisch. Die Sprache hat sich als am weitesten östlich gesprochene Berbersprache linguistisch weit von anderen Berbersprachen entfernt. Sie besitzt eine Vielzahl ägyptisch-arabische Lehnwörter.

Siwi es una lengua afroasiática bereber de Egipto, hablada por cerca de 15.000 personas y alrededor del oasis de Siwa cerca a la frontera con Libia. La mayoría de los hablantes de Siwi también saben árabe y la lengua contiene un gran número de palabras tomadas del Árabe egipcio. Aunque el Árabe es la lengua oficial de Egipto, la primera lengua hablada por los niños de Siwa es el Siwi.
