SERE
SERE (Survival, Escape, Resistance and Evasion) is a U.S. military program that provides military personnelDepartment of Defense civilians, and contractors with training in the Code of Conduct, survival skills, evading capture, recovery and dealing with captivity. It was created by the Air Force  at the end of the Korean War but was expanded to the Army and the Navy during the Vietnam War. The majority of students are aircrew members.
